Peaches

This "weekend" (J's is Sun, Mon, Tues, because of his 4/10 schedule) we are here at the ranch, and being that it is the start of peach season yesterday Mom, J, and I spent the day canning. While singing along with our favorite 50's-70's music, we canned 24 pints and 12 quarts. Working together is always one of the things our family enjoys most, and yesterday was no exception.

As you can see we had a good time. I peeled the peaches.....
Mom sliced and pitted the peaches.....

And J filled the jars and prepped them.

We boiled down the extra juice and sugar water to make syrup.
When all was done, Mom and I went for a wonderful and relaxing ride
exploring all of Mom's new trails.
Then last night we celebrated Mom's birthday (yes, several weeks early since we won't be with her on the day) with peach cobbler and a gift. It really was a fantastic (and yummy) day.

Fun! We made strawberry jam on Saturday. Making jam always makes me think of AJ.
