Mom and Aunt J's visit

When J and I left the ranch last time, we brought my Aunt J and Mom home with us. J had to work, but us girls had a nice time. We went to the Portland Test Rose Garden, where they cultivate new types of roses, and took a drive down the Columbia River Gorge. We followed the National Historic Landmark Columbia River Scenic Highway. We started at the rose garden, had a lunch on a bench there, then drove east on scenic highway 30 with our first stop at the Woman's Forum view point, and ending at Multnomah Falls (the second highest year-round waterfall in the US).

Smallest rose bush I have ever seen.

The Portland Police were having their annual picture taken while we were there. Probably the safest place we could have been in all of the PNW that day.

Here's a map, and if you ever are in the area I highly suggest you take this beautiful drive. There are so many waterfalls and breathtaking viewpoints, that it took us most of the afternoon, but google maps says you can do it in under a half hour.
